 | Accept the Code of Conduct as a condition of membership of the
Institute

 | Conduct themselves in their employment with the integrity and skill
expected of a professional person

 | Take all reasonable steps to ensure that work undertaken by staff
under their control is performed in an efficient and honest manner
|
 | At all times be strictly professional in their approach to the
public, business colleagues, and all those whom they meet in their day
to day business activities
|
 | Perform their duties and observe their responsibilities to their
employers, staff, and the public in a manner which accords with their
professional integrity
|
 | Be professionally competent in the techniques and operation of their
business and/or employment
|
 | Keep abreast of developments and modern techniques including
Government legislation applicable to their employment. Ensure
that staff for whom they have supervisory responsibility are made
aware of all such developments, techniques and legislation
|
 | Not mis-use their office or authority for personal gain
|
 | Comply with the laws of the country in which they are employed
relating to the operation of the organisation with which they are
connected
|
 | In addition to the Institute’s Code of Conduct, be cognisant of
and act according to codes of professional practice binding on their
business
|
 | Respect the confidentiality of any information given by customers,
employers, staff and suppliers
|
 | Encourage actively staff under their control to raise their
educational standards
